On December 6 at 19:00, the cultural venue Ola Foundation invites you to a special musical evening - the concert Songs and Arias of the Soul, featuring two outstanding figures of Latvian music - pianist Andrejs Osokins and bass Edgars Ošleja.
The concert programme has been specially created for the atmosphere, acoustics, and intimacy of the Ola music salon, allowing the music to sound especially nuanced and authentic.
The programme brings together the Romantic geniuses of two different eras - Franz Schubert, a pioneer of the song genre, and Emīls Dārziņš, whose unique and emotionally rich contribution has become the core of the soul of Latvian music. The evening will be made even more special by arias from the operas of Giuseppe Verdi, Charles Gounod, and W.A. Mozart, as well as a special musical surprise.
Andrejs Osokins - a pianist whose playing combines deep emotionality, poetic subtlety, and technical mastery. His interpretations have captivated audiences in London, Berlin, New York, and many other places, where he performs to great international acclaim.
Edgars Ošleja - a bass with a powerful, richly toned voice and dramatic expressive force, equally convincing in grand opera roles and nuanced chamber programmes. His singing combines masculinity, warmth, and emotional depth.
Concert in two parts.
Interval: 30 minutes.
The concert begins at 19:00; guests are kindly invited to arrive from 18:15 for a glass of welcome wine and a visit to the current art exhibitions.
Please note that photographs and video recordings will be made during the event.
