Trio Fabel will perform their concert program "Kino atspulgi" at Ola Foundaiton on April 23 at 18.00.
Program:
Ēriks Ešenvalds – Trio "Atspulgi ūdenī" for clarinet (ocarina and bells), cello and piano
Gabriel Fauré – Trio for clarinet, cello and piano op.120
Georgs Pelēcis – Lyrical triptych on themes of Latvian folk songs
Nino Rota – Trio for clarinet, cello and piano
Trio Fabel offers to look at film music from a new point of view - not as an element that complements the film, a soundtrack for Hollywood blockbusters, but as a seventh muse that can evoke cinematic associations for the listeners.
The concert program consists of the music of Federico Fellini's trusted associate, the master of film music Nino Rota, the romantic French composer Gabriel Fauré, the meditative Ēriks Ešenvalds, as well as the "Lyrical Triptych" of Georgs Pelēcis, specifically dedicated to Trio Fabel. The evening will be full of contrasts.
Trio Fabel is an association of musicians that unites three bright young stars of Latvian music, whose concert life and studies take place in various European countries - clarinetist, Latvian Music Grand Music Prize 2018 laureate Anna Gāgane, cellist Kristaps Bergs and concert pianist Linda Leine. Although each of them is gifted with an individual perspective on music, when they play together, their different temperaments intertwine into a unified sound. An important aspect of the ensemble's activity is cooperation with composers and commissioning new pieces. The trio has performed in Latvia, Germany and Italy.
Trio Fabel's concert "Music for the End of Time", which took place at the Ola Foundation on October 16 last year, is included in the Latvian Radio Klasika 3 2022 top concert list.
