On March 18 at 5:00 p.m., we invite you to a conversation on the topic: What kind of authorities does this era require?
The era in which we live is saturated with information, opinions, and speed. But is it also saturated with depth? Whom do we trust? Whom do we follow? And how do we distinguish influence from true authority?
We will discuss this at the tenth OLAS SARUNAS event.
Our guest is theologian, contemplative teacher, and director of the Institute for Integral Education Juris Rubenis.
In his latest book, “Threads of Fire,” Juris Rubenis reflects on ten individuals who have become inner guides in his life. They are people from different centuries and cultures - spiritual authorities of their time whose thoughts and experiences remain alive today.
What is authority today, in the first place? Does it mean power, influence, and popularity? Or does it mean inner strength that helps us navigate the crossroads of our era?
Do we see people in Latvia, Europe, and the world today with a similar spiritual depth? And are we able to recognize them?
The conversation will be moderated by “Ieva” and “Annas Psiholoģija” magazine editor Anna Peipiņa.
Venue: Ola Foundation cultural space, Ogļu Street 12a, Riga
Free admission, with prior registration only.
Places are limited.
OLAS SARUNAS is a discussion format and an exchange of knowledge with Latvian authorities and experienced leaders on topics that are important both to Latvia and to the people who live there.
