The demand for Olas' lecture series for young people and seminars for leaders and managers led us to the idea that Ola needs and should offer a discussion format - an exchange of knowledge with Latvian authorities and experienced leaders on topics important to Latvia and its people.
We would like to create a new platform, OLAS SARUNAS, where industry experts and authorities can share their knowledge and experience, enriching society with different perspectives, promoting greater awareness among our people of important issues, and inspiring them to think along.
The first OLAS SARUNAS series will take place on June 11 at 5:00 p.m. on the topic: What kind of Latvia does the world need, and what kind of world does Latvia need?
The discussion will be moderated by well-known journalist, editor of the magazines "Ieva" and "Annas Psiholoģija", and lecturer in the "Journalism" study program at Rīga Stradiņš University, Anna Peipiņa.
Anna Peipiņa has invited three prominent authorities to the first discussion:
Valdis Zatlers - President of Latvia (2007-2011), physician, traumatologist, orthopedist, member of the Club of Madrid.
Valdis Birkavs - Prime Minister (1993-1994), also served as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Justice, Doctor of Law, European Person of the Year in Latvia in 1999, author of more than 150 academic works and publications, member of the Club of Madrid.
Uldis Pīlēns - founder and chairman of the board of the UPB holding company, entrepreneur, architect, Businessperson of the Year 2015.
During this discussion, the participants will share their experience and vision of what kind of Latvia the world needs and what kind of world Latvia needs, as well as discuss global and local issues that affect our country's future and its place in the world.
Event time: June 11 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Everyone is welcome, admission is free with prior registration!
Places are limited.
