Your Path. How Not to Get Lost in a World Where Everything Is Open
Continuing the tradition started by the Ola Foundation, on February 11 we invite young people aged 18 to 26 to a lecture by Uldis Pīlēns, dedicated to thinking, making choices, and creating your own path.
It will be an opportunity to meet, in a calm and open environment, an architect and entrepreneur, the founder of UPB Holding, who for several decades has built large, complex, and long-term-oriented processes in Latvia and internationally.
We live in a time when the world is in constant motion - opportunities, the amount of information, and expectations are changing. In such an environment, it becomes especially important not to simply keep up, but to retain the ability to stop, think, and make your own choices.
Key Points
- Inner compass - how not to get lost in other people's expectations, algorithms, and the pressure to compare yourself
- Speed and direction - why they are not the same thing
- Pace and pressure - information overload and the feeling that you have to be “everywhere and at once”
- Values as guides - what helps you not to get lost in the long term
- What remains unchanged when everything around you is in motion
- How to find your own pace, your own scale, and your own responsibility for the choices you make
