See you at Olas Sarunas #3!

On November 26, the third discussion series of OLAS SARUNAS will take place at the Ola Foundation cultural space on the topic -

CULTURE AND MONEY: HOW MUCH DOES CREATIVITY COST?

The discussion will feature Latvian cultural figures such as Juris Žagars, Zigmārs Liepiņš and Andrejs Ēķis.

The conversation will be moderated by well-known journalist Anna Peipiņa - examining the relationship between culture and money, the extent to which funding influences artistic freedom, creativity and creative results, and how this changes the creation of culture. The discussions will focus on the role of commercialism in art, asking whether market demand can become the decisive measure of artistic value and how to ensure sustainable cultural development without compromise. Can the art world be independent and sustainable while remaining true to its values?

Event time: 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Arrival from 4:30 p.m.

Location: the seminar room at Ola Foundation

Places are limited; admission to the event is free for participants who have registered in advance.
