Continuing the Ola Foundation autumn cultural events series, we are delighted and honored that on November 22, our beloved Maestro Raimonds Pauls will once again join us with a new concert program. This will be a very special gathering, as the opportunity to meet the Maestro and experience his music so closely and personally is a beautiful celebration for us all, honoring how much his music means to us.
That evening, the Maestro will be accompanied by opera singer Edgars Ošlejs, one of Latvia's most talented young bass singers, whose voice and performances have already won the hearts of audiences both at the Latvian National Opera and abroad. He has received the Great Music Award in the "Young Artist of the Year" category, establishing himself as an outstanding and promising artist.
The concert program will include the Maestro's songs “Klusais vīrs” (lyrics by Jānis Elsbergs), “Zied ievas Siguldā” (lyrics by Augusts Smagars), “Liepājai” (lyrics by Ziedonis Purvs), “Veltījums dzejniekiem” (lyrics by Jānis Peters), “Mežrozīte” (lyrics by Alfrēds Krūklis), and other compositions.
The evening's musical story will be enriched by the outstanding jazz guitarist Āris Ozols, whose unique style combines academic precision with creative improvisation. The sounds of his guitar will create a special atmosphere, bringing warmth and intimacy to the concert.
Guests are warmly invited to arrive from 18:15 to enjoy a glass of welcome wine and view the current exhibitions in the cultural space.
Please note that filming and photography will take place during the event.
