TRIO PALLADIO koncerts (IZPĀRDOTS)

TRIO PALLADIO concert (SOLD OUT)

7 December, 19:00 | Ola Foundation
On December 7 at 7:00 p.m. at the Ola Foundation cultural venue, an unforgettable musical event awaits: the only concert in Latvia this year by the outstanding chamber ensemble Trio Palladio, winner of last year's Great Music Award. That evening, we will hear a refined program created especially for this occasion, which Trio Palladio will perform in Latvia for the first time.

Trio Palladio consists of three brilliant musical stars who have shone on stages around the world: violinist Eva Bindere, cellist Kristīne Blaumane and pianist Reinis Zariņš. Each of them is a distinctive, powerful personality who has received countless awards throughout their career, including Great Music Award laureate titles.

Concert program

Since their first concerts, the musicians of Trio Palladio have sought to perform both the fundamental works of the classical repertoire and contemporary compositions in each program, with particular emphasis on works by Latvian composers. The December 7 program will be especially significant: the first part of the concert will feature works by composers from all three Baltic states - Anatolijus Šenderovas from Lithuania, Erkki-Sven Tüür from Estonia and our own Pēteris Vasks from Latvia. The Baltic works chosen for this concert are contemporary yet also seem to come from a distant prehistory, rooted in the deepest foundations of musical language and at the same time enveloped in an indefinable mystery.

The second part of the concert will feature Schubert's bright, melodic, lyrical and dance-like First Piano Trio, a paradoxical work because it was composed during the final year of the composer's life, as his health was gradually failing; yet this music is a direct counterpoint to the cold biographical fact - it is like embodied, overflowing joy of life. Trio Palladio is delighted to perform this special work in the cozy music salon of Ola Foundation, where the direct communion of musicians and listeners may allow us to glimpse, through the doors opened by the music, into the very heart of Schubert.

The musicians of Trio Palladio have been playing together for ten years, despite living in different countries - Italy, England and Latvia. The ensemble was named in honor of the distinguished Italian Renaissance architect Andrea Palladio (1508-1580).
